Lumbar Spine AP/LAT

The lumbar spine is made up of five vertebral bones. The sacrum is the bony “shield” at the back of your pelvis. It’s located below the lumbar spine. The coccyx, or tailbone, is located below the sacrum. It helps your doctor view the anatomy of your lower back.
Our X-ray radiographer will guide you into certain positions before the X-ray picture is taken. It is important to pay attention to the X-ray technologist’s instruction.
Do stay still when the X-ray picture is being taken, so that your picture will turn out clear and sharp.
